3/20/2008 (Career
by Design Workshop)
My name is Petty Officer First
Class Robin Randle USN, Active Duty and I wanted to let you know that I have taken the class Career By Design and the facilitator
was Mr. Mr. Johnson. The class was great! The class gave me valuable information and it also gave me an epiphany
that I was on the right track far as my career goes before retiring from the military. After taking the last assessment
the was a list for about 10 pages of careers I could choose from and the two I chosen were Management Analyst and Training
and Development Managers. These two are the same careers I chosen with the FBI and since I have been TDY @ CENTCOM I'd
talked to friend about the same careers and what career path I wanted to take, besides being a Secretary/Administrative Officer
as a career choice, because this is the same job I do now in the military. I knew I had choices, but I did not know
how to find them and gather information until I taken this class with Mr. Johnson on Monday, 17 March 2008. Everything
Mr. Johnson said was true about preparing for you next career after the military. I have been preparing for this day
ever since I joined the military, because I knew the day will come that I will have to retire and go to another career and
I did not want to work at Mc Donald's.
I have listen to my grandmother, my pastor, my dad, and grand-dad
and it has finally paid off. I went to school and received two certificates in Dental Assistance and Microsoft Network+,
Bachelor's and a Master's in Business Management, as well. Mr. Johnson told me on Tuesday, 18 March 2008 gave
me advice about the workplace and will use techniques, because I use them in the military, too. And lastly, a job waiting
for me when I retire and go on Terminal Leave in June 08. So, I just wanted to say that the classes I have taken here
at the FSC has worked for me in many ways and I hope my testimony will help others, too. Thanks,
Robin Randle
2/5/2008 (Resume Seminar) Aloha Troy,
Thanks for the great class on Resume writing this week. You far exceeded what I expected from the class!
As you discussed during the class, please send me the electronic version of the "Online Career Resources" memo.
Thanks again.
COL Houston 12/3/2007 (Career by Design Workshop) - Troy did a "Bang up"
job - excellent course & information! Keep Troy on your team, he is a natural.
7/15/2007 (Transition / Employment workshop) First -
let me apologize for not making this email my #1 priority. I truly want to share with you how much we appreciated your assistance
in allowing Troy to come and present the civilian Transition Assistance Workshop. I'm sure you have seen the critiques
- which are all real good. But let me assure you that the verbal feedback I have received from the class has been nothing
but praise and appreciation. Only 9 participants completed critiques, but there were a total of 16 that attended at least
parts of the workshop.
I can't say enough about Troy and the great job he did in answering everyone's questions
and providing the information they all were craving. I saw him spending some of his own time sitting down one-on-one with
class participants helping them on an individual basis. You are truly blessed to have such a valuable asset on your team. Again,
thank you for helping us out in this very important endeavor. Sincerely, Deana Jacobs Director, Family Support, Homestead ARB, FL 4/12/2007
